Wine & Chat Book Club
Quarterly Series with Readings from the Author
Register today and support a fellow Government Marketer! Grab your wine and join us for our 1st Wine & Chat Book Club on February 25th at 4:00 p.m. We’ll hear from Rita Walston, Director, Federal Marketing at Snowflake as she talks about her debut novel Paper & Ink, Flesh & Blood. We are so proud of our government marketers who reach their dreams and hope you can join us as we support Rita in this very exciting chapter in her life.
A suspenseful literary tale for all book lovers, Paper & Ink, Flesh & Blood reminds readers of the passion and strength of much-loved novels. It’s for those who believe in the power of words, second changes, and that everyone should be the author of their own story.
“Why is it, do you think, that people accept some things can be unseen or unheard by most, yet be valid and real, yet other things unseen or unheard are judged to be figments of imagination or signs of an unstable mind?”
These words from her elegant and charismatic Great-Aunt Vieve open a whole new world for young Margaux Locke. Thought odd and ostracized by most, Margaux learns that her unique ability to hear words of wisdom and warning spoken by some of literature’s best-loved novels is not a curse nor a blessing, but something in between. When her husband, August Locke, falls to his death in a point-to-point horse race, Margaux must use her wits and abilities to find out what really happened and what role August’s childhood friend and business partner may have played, and to save that land that is the Locke family legacy.
We can’t wait to hear from Paper & Ink, Flesh & Blood Author, Rita Walston and hope you come to celebrate this book launch!
