March 2021 Issue

A Note from the GMarkU CEO
Spring is in the air – I can feel it! A good government marketing habit is to do some Spring cleaning of your marketing initiatives. Take a look at what you’ve done so far in 2021 and identify which campaigns are working the best and which ones are not producing to your expectations. If they aren’t producing the ROI you expected, take a look at your original metrics and see if they are still in line with your campaign goals. If you’re working with a vendor, have a call with them to discuss. You’ll find all of our government vendors are very happy to work with you to ensure optimum success.
If you have campaigns that are producing really well, find ways you can extend or repeat a similar campaign. I’m a big believer in “Process Driven Marketing” and if you have found something that works for you and your sales team, congratulations! See how you can take the concept into other products/solutions/services or how you can incorporate a partner into the mix.
Are we are meeting your expectations on The Beat? We’d love to hear how we are doing (we practice what we preach!), so let us know how we can best deliver content and events that meet your needs. Email me at lbrossman@gmarkudev.wpengine.com.

“Need to Know”
Technology Modernization Fund TMF
In our recent Power Hour with Suzette Kent, she highlighted the recent enhancements made to TMF that substantially increased the funding available to government agencies…a bump up to $1B to be exact. The billion-dollar increase is 10 times the fund’s original size when it was created three years ago.
The TMF is an innovative funding vehicle that gives Federal agencies additional ways to deliver services to the American public more quickly, better secure sensitive systems and data, and use taxpayer dollars more efficiently.
Government Marketers will benefit from understanding TMF so you can build marketing campaigns that will help your company take advantage of this innovative funding.

The Ladies of the Secret Circus
Connie Sayers, Author
Another exciting book from the desk of GMarkU friend and public sector industry thought leader, Connie Sayers, President of Government Executive Media Group. We can’t wait to read it!
Paris, 1925: To enter the Secret Circus is to enter a world of wonder—a world where women weave illusions of magnificent beasts, carousels take you back in time, and trapeze artists float across the sky. Bound to her family’s circus, it’s the only world Cecile Cabot knows until she meets a charismatic young painter and embarks on a passionate affair that could cost her everything.
